About
I'm Margaret Waage—a visual storyteller with over two decades of experience in photography, video, and graphic design. I specialize in crafting compelling narratives that resonate.
My journey began in New York as a darkroom technician, where I printed black-and-white ad campaigns for publication. Over the years, I've worked as a news and feature reporter, editor, and producer with esteemed daily news organizations, including Newsday, the New York Post, the Marietta Daily Journal’s Cherokee Tribune newspaper, the Waterbury Republican newspaper, AOL Patch, Getty Images, and the Associated Press. I’ve produced B2B video and print content for the Marlin Company, focusing on specific communications for healthcare, industrial, and hospitality industries.
I especially enjoy working with local nonprofits, capturing moments that matter.
Whether I’m photographing a corporate event, community initiative, or personal milestone, my goal is always the same: to capture the unique essence of each subject and tell their story with authenticity and heart.
My work has been featured in publications such as The Christian Science Monitor, Cherokee Life Magazine, Hartford Magazine, New Haven Magazine, and Southington Magazine. My art photography has been exhibited in galleries and cultural spaces, including the New Britain Museum of American Art, Marietta Cobb Museum of Art, The Art Place Marietta, PhotoPlace Gallery, Sewell Mill Library & Cultural Center, International Center for Photography, Buckhead Library, and more.
Now based in Marietta, Georgia, I continue to serve clients across the metro Atlanta area, offering services that blend technical expertise with heartfelt storytelling.
